Sample Food Festival 2019

The Sample Food Festival returns to Bangalow again for its 9th year. Located in the Byron Bay hinterland, the festival celebrates fresh local produce, creative cooking, talented chefs, the local food industry and the foodie locals. The Food festival usually attracts around 17,000 visitors annually. Each year foodies from far and wide have the opportunity to “sample” the best food and beverage, Northern New South Wales has to offer. The region’s top restaurants compete for the coveted “Gold Fork” awards and collaborate on a special luncheon.

Sample Food Festival is held in the village of Bangalow and is supported by 200 stall holders who include local restaurant owners, farmers, and local food producers. Celebrity chefs will include Matt Moran, an Australian food icon and TV presenter and Federico Zanellato of LuMi Dining Sydney, who was nominated Citi Chef of The Year 2017 by SMH Good Food Guide.
